As I type this, I am sitting in a room at St. Mary Mercy hospital. My mom is here getting some help regaining her desire to eat. She has cancer and lately has hit a bump in the road. I was reminded tonight to trust in the Lord.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
These are powerful and comforting words in these times. So far I’ve trusted Him and things have been mostly ok. She’s still here even though there has been plenty of opportunity not to be.
One of the toughest things for us to do sometimes is to sit and wait for Him to bring a solution. It’s never easy.
I remind myself each time I’m here that she’s left in a better place then when she was admitted. The oncologist referred to this as a bump in the road.
With God, all bumps can be repaired. I’ll keep reminding myself of these verses and keep moving forward knowing He will bring healing in the end.
