The Riches of His Grace

Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace

Jesus Christ died for us on the cross so that our sins may be forgiven and our eternity with Him in Heaven sealed.  All we have to do is repent, believe, and follow (Romans 10:9) to take this wonderful gift.

What does it mean to be redeemed?

In God’s court of law, we are guilty from the day we first sin.  We have all sinned (Romans 3:23) and will continue to sin throughout our lifetime.  Through Christ, we have been redeemed of that guilt and can now receive His grace.

Today, I encourage you to think about the Jesus, the cross, and His blood.  Consider your own salvation and your heart.  Are you experiencing the grace of God?  Have you repeneted and chosen a life following Jesus Christ?  If not, ask yourself “What am I waiting for?”

There are no guarantees that you will see tomorrow.  Our days are numbered and we will all eventually die.  You don’t want to enter eternity not knowing Jesus.  The Bible tells us that we will spend eternity in either Heaven (Matthew 25:34) or Hell (Matthew 25:41).

Romans 10:9-10 tells us to confess are sins and believe in Jesus, we will be saved from that eternal fire that Jesus talked about.  Simply call out to Jesus and repent today.  Accept His gift of salvation.

Lord, thank you for saving me through the cross.  Help me to understand on a deeper level what that truly means for me, and what You saved me from.  Amen.
