New church voice Eric Mason addresses the cultural and spiritual crises within manhood head-on, presenting a gospel-centered vision that points men back to God's original intent for their lives.

There are a lot of choices for books dealing with “Manhood” or “Authentic Manhood”. In a crowded space, Eric Mason does a great job differentiating his book from the rest. You’ll find topics covering anything from your daily life as a man, too topics such as worldview, church, and family. This book is packed with great information to help you understand “manhood” from a Biblical stand-point.

I read this book with a friend as part of a weekly study we were doing together. Each of us were convicted by at least one thing every week. These were things we were aware of, but also things we weren’t aware of, which I where I found the most strength in Mason’s teachings.

One of the things I look for in any “self-help” type book is scripture to back up each point the author is making. If we’re not grounded in truth, we’re simply putting on a worldview lens. Mason did a great job with reinforcing all of his points with Biblical truth.

I would recommend this book for anyone who is looking to better sharpen their manhood through the lens of the gospel. This can be someone who is struggling with many aspects of manhood, to someone who doesn’t understand manhood, and even the person who has read other books on manhood, but just wants another perspective.

For me, what separated this book from others I’ve read is the focus on scripture, the gospel, and it does have a true sense of restoration for those looking for it. Don’t hesitate to buy Mason’s book “Manhood Restored”.
