Abounding in Thanksgiving

Colossians 3:6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

Paul was writing to the church in Colassae. Their church was a bit of mixed up. They had practices of people mixing Jewish and Christianity, creating their own religion that wasn’t really good. In this piece of the letter, he dives into being “Alive in Christ”.

This one a bit straight forward today. Just as you received Christ Jesus the Lord. Just as you accepted Him as your savior. Just as you accepted His free gift of eternal life. Go walk with Him! Let Him guide you. Let Him fill your life with joy.

Root yourself in this life of joy. Let your faith burn bright, leaning on Him for everything. Just as you were taught. We were all taught this at one point, otherwise we wouldn’t still be reading, right? Maybe not. Again. LinkedIn!

So let’s remember why we accepted Christ. Let’s walk with Him in control. Let’s show our faith. Remember our teachings, reading and studying the Bible daily.

Then we can live that full life, just as Christ wants us, with an abundance of thanksgiving.
